1. Which is the most up to date version of the Aventa Software?
Currently Aventa 2.4 is the most up-to-date version and contains Danalogic 6. An upgraded version will be available in the summer and if you are already fitting Danalogic 6 you will be forwarded the new software immediately on its release.

2. How do I install the Aventa Software?
You will receive step by step installation instructions when you receive your Aventa software. Follow them carefully to install the software. You will also be issued an installation code. It is important that you enter the correct code when requested

3. What happens if I install the Aventa Software and don’t enter an installation code?
If you install Aventa without entering the correct installation code, you will not be able to view the Danalogic 6 icon in the hearing aid selection list. If you have forgotten to enter the code you will need to completely uninstall Aventa and begin the process again.

4. How do I activate new products?
Uninstall Aventa and reinstall with correct code.

5. Why can’t I see a certain product?
If you are unable to see a certain product, Aventa may have been installed with the incorrect code. You will need to uninstall the software and reinstall with the correct code.

6. I have lost the correct installation code – how can I get it reissued?
Call our Customer Service Team on 01869 343500 and they will be able to reissue the code over the phone. The lines are open Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5 pm.

7. I’ve installed the Aventa Software but still can’t get the hearing aid to connect – why not? This could be for a number of reasons.
First check the following:
a. Is the programming cable correct?
b. Is the software correct?
c. Does the HiPro test have the correct settings?
d. Does the HiPro report a Com Port 1 to 4?
If all of these settings are correct you may have connected faulty aid that will have created a fault in the HiPro board. You need to disconnect the faulty instrument, switch off the HiPro for at least 1 minute, reboot the PC and then start again.

8. Why can’t I read this old hearing aid with the latest Aventa Software?
The most likely reason is that the hearing instrument has been programmed using the old software and will therefore need re-fonixing. To do this, return the hearing instrument to us at GN ReSound, 1 Landscape Close, Weston on the Green, Bicester OX25 2NG.

1. What fitting rule does the Aventa Software use?
Aventa 2.4 allows you to set NAL NL1 as the default fitting rule. You can also choose to use DSL. To find out more, please click here.

2. Does the Aventa Software take UCLs into account?
Aventa takes UCLs into account as long as it is ticked under the preference.

3. What level is the feedback calibration signal?
The feedback calibration signal is 85dB.

4. How is NAL modified?
The NAL target may appear to differ is the input is left at the default of pure tone while it uses modulated speech noise in REM. The input can be altered in the Aventa settings?

5. Is BC taken into account?
BC is taken into account in versions 2.4 and above.

6. Why does the fitting module prescribe a different target to the same rule in the REM module?
In some cases we use a slightly modified version of prescription rules to take account of the 17 compressions channels we use rather than maximum of 4 in the standard prescription.
